Tobacco box, "Columbus" by Birger Ekman

This Tobacco Box tells the story of Columbus going to America and finding the natives smoking tobacco in pipes. The box is made in inlaid wood, using several woods. For example Zebrano, Tamo, Ebony and Boxwood. The inside is covered in tin. Birger Ekman was the leading artist at Mjšlby Intarsia.
